celestially inspired

I’m currently inspired by the appendages of jellyfish along with the equally tentacular mycelial network of mushrooms - and that fact that we are all connected. One flowing, the other rooted and creeping. Different, but the same.

Connected through computers, waterways, food systems, but also through our hopes and dreams. 

The hare, however, wanted to be painted here too, probably because of his association with the moon in many cultures throughout the world. in this scene, I consider him a bridge between the fungal and aqueous worlds.

I began this painting around the time of the New Moon in Aries, hence the hare. completed during the time when artful Venus made her way into the liquid connectedness of Pisces.

May this art serve as a painted prayer for us all to find connection with one another in the great wide unknown and ineffable flow of the universe.
